Meeting Planning for Nonprofit Organizations

Logistics are critical to the success of any event.  They are also the most time consuming and aggravating.  This can be diminished somewhat with careful advance planning.  Even planning in advance, there are always last-minute details to address.  Through the National Center’s Technical Assistance Providers Support (TAPS) project, we gained a plethora of experience working with hotels and travel agents and planning events. 

In this section, we have compiled a variety of websites, check lists, work plans, books and other resources on meeting planning that we found helpful and hope that they will be useful to you.
