Alliance of Local Service Organizations– created to coordinated services for youth and families in the Logan Square community on Chicago's Northwest Side. Becoming aware of the devastating impact of community violence on those families ALSO began to take action by implementing prevention programs to end street violence. In 2007, ALSO expanded its violence prevention and intervention efforts to include intimate partner violence. By working to end violence more broadly, ALSO began to see connections between violence on the streets and violence in the home. Today, ALSO works both locally and nationally to end violence, Chicago, IL.
Biden Foundation – builds upon that mission: to identify policies that advance the middle class, decrease economic inequality, and increase opportunity for all people. And, to ensure that everyone—no matter their income level, race, gender, age, or sexuality— is treated equally and gets a fair shot at achieving the American Dream. We are at a critical juncture in our nation’s history. It is more important than ever before to move the country forward and keep working towards the ideals that ensure that the American Dream can be a reality for all. Leaning on the knowledge of the world’s foremost experts, most experienced hands and brightest minds, the Biden Foundation will lead this next research and educational venture. Center on Victimization & Safety, Vera Institute of Justice – works with government and nonprofit organizations to enhance efforts to prevent and address interpersonal violence and related crimes, including domestic violence and sexual assault. The Center specializes in fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and promoting policies and practices that hold abusers accountable and also help survivors heal. By combining staff expertise and skills with the practical knowledge of professionals in the field, it provides technical assistance and guidance that is timely, relevant and reflective of current best practices. Inspire Action for Social Change – our mission is to create change and improved opportunities for women and children experiencing barriers to safety as a result of domestic and sexual violence. We provide support, leadership, and technical assistance to organizations, communities, and institutions working to end violence against women and children.
Institute for Community Peace – promotes a safe, healthy and peaceful nation by mobilizing community resources and leadership and supports strategies that emphasize civic empowerment and expanded national attention to the range of factors that contribute to and prevent violence and promote peace, Washington, DC.

NDD United – is a coalition of leaders joining forces in an effort to save public services (known in Congress as nondefense discretionary (NDD) programs) from devastating budget cuts. NDD programs are core services government provides for the benefit of everyone ~ including medical research, public health, infrastructure and education. She hurries her paces as she sees her destination become closer. She is almost there. She reaches the front door, goes inside, collects herself, and moves on forgetting, at least for tonight, the gripping fear that momentarily enveloped her life. This scene could have occurred anywhere last night, last year, or even 100 years ago. Historically, women faced the anxiety of walking alone at night and that is why Take Back the Night began.
