AEquitas Library – develops substantive resources on topics related to the investigation and prosecution of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, human trafficking, and related violent crimes. AEquitas publishes the STRATEGIES and STRATEGIES in Brief newsletters, monographs, and the Prosecutors' Resources as well as other articles designed to enhance prosecutions. AEquitas also develops and maintains resources including statutory compilations; case law digests; and sample motions, briefs, protocols, and predicate questions, Washington, DC.
The Liz Library – this website contains information, research, scholarship, and arguments pertaining to public policy and legal issues, much of it gathered by attorney and academic work groups in different jurisdictions. It is not intended to reflect specifics of actual laws, substantive or procedural, currently in force in any jurisdiction. The information is intended for use by scholars, lawyers, and activists, and is not presented as legal advice. Child custody issues are interconnected with issues of maternity, pregnancy, primary caregiving, parental alienation, child development (education and attachment issues), father's rights, and other family law issues, as well as those involving forensic psychologists, guardians ad litem (GALs) and other mental health professionals in the family court system, so check related sections in the Site Index, including those on psychology for relevant material. Shuart Women's Archive & Research Collection – contains correspondence, legal and legal style documentation, financial documents, printed materials, creative works, clippings, transparencies, forms, publications, posters, CDs, VHS tapes, note cards, handwritten notes, and ephemera created by the National Center on Domestic and Sexual Violence documenting the organization's work in providing advocacy as well as training and consultation to organizations interested in the prevention of domestic and sexual violence, University of Houston, Houston, TX. Toby M. Myers, Deborah D. Tucker, and Maria José Angelelli, Texas Council on Family Violence (TCFV) Records, 1974-2016, Carey C. Shuart Women's Archive & Research Collection – contain written records of the organization, as well as photographs and ephemera from the group. Items in the collection range in date from 1974 to 2016, with most of the material dating from the 1990s. The bulk of the collection details the various activities of the group since its inception in 1978, including conferences attended or organized, political and legislative activity from several shelters throughout the state.
The collection is arranged into nine series: Administrative Materials, International Development Project, Programs, Workshops/Conferences, Political/Legislative/Legal Materials, Publications, Clippings, Photographs and Ephemera. The original arrangement and subject headings have been retained as much as possible, although some reorganization was necessary to facilitate research. Basic preservation procedures, including removing staples, tape, and paperclips, were applied to the collection, which was generally in very good physical condition.
